Montreal has an international airport, Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL), located approximately 30-minute-drive from the city center.

Reaching Concordia University (SGW) Campus

The SGW campus is conveniently located at Montreal downtown. From the airport, Concordia University (SGW) campus can be reached using different transportation options:

  • Shuttle Bus+Metro – Bus number 747 runs 24 hours per day, 7 days a week between the airport and downtown Montreal. One-way cash fare is $10 payable in Canadian coins (no bills) or by fare card, which you can buy at the airport’s international arrivals exit. Bus number 747 stops at two different metro stations that will connect you to Concordia: a) If you get off the bus at Lionel-Groulx metro station: take the green line heading east (direction Honoré-Beaugrand) b) If you get off the bus at Berri-UQAM metro station: take the green line heading west (direction Angrignon) Get off the metro at Guy-Concordia station, and take the Guy Street (rue Guy) exit. Follow the signs to the Welcome Centre, in the J.W. McConnell (LB) Building.
  • Via Rail train –If you’re travelling to Montreal from Ottawa, Toronto or beyond, consider taking the train. You’ll arrive in Montreal at Gare Centrale, which is a 20-minute walk from the Welcome Centre, or an eight-minute cab ride. From the Gare Centrale train station you can also take the metro to Concordia: a) Start at the Bonaventure metro station on the orange line heading west (direction Côte-Vertu), b) At the Lionel-Groulx metro station, transfer to the green line heading east (direction Honoré-Beaugrand), c) Disembark at Guy-Concordia station
  • Taxi – Taxi can be found outside the airport. Taxi fare to downtown Montréal is approximately $40, payable by cash or credit card.
  • Uber/Lyft – Uber can be found outside the airport by going to Door 28 on the arrivals level to book a ride in the pick-up area. if you are planning to use Lyft, go to the P4 Express Drop-Off area by following the signs to the P4 parking lot in the terminal.

You can find information on bus routes and other public transportation options on the website of Concordia University, the local bus company. You can buy an OPUS card in any metro stations and use the card for taking the bus/metro.
